A day of Warcraft!

Spent much of the day playing WoW today. I jumped to Northrend, and was able to run Vault of Archavon again, since the Alliance actually controlled Wintergrasp. I also recorded Naxxramas and Icecrown Citadel. After that, I just kinda wandered around and did a couple more raids. I even did a real raid today. Well, part of one. At least it was enough to get my quest done. I even have two pieces of ilvl 645 gear now. I thought I may have had a new trinket, it was ilvl 630, but for some reason, it wasn’t as good as my ilvl 615 one. That was kinda a bummer. On the bright side, with the instances that I’ve done today, I made almost 2,000 gold on the day. Of course, I have to wait until Tuesday to do those instances again, but I can wait a few days, I suppose. I still have more I can do. I haven’t done all of the BC raids yet this week, so I may do those. I also have one Cataclysm raid to do, but it’s like Vault, in that it’s in a PVP area, and your faction has to have control for you to go in there. Guess I have to keep an eye on that now. Blah.

One thing that’s odd, is that in the heirlooms, there’s only one Lightforged piece, which is the shoulders. There’s two different warrior sets, Might and Valor, but just one piece of the Pally set. I guess I’ll have to pick up one of the warrior sets for the other pieces. Well, the ones that I can get, since I don’t have access to pants, and since Cable and I are the only ones in the guild, the likelihood of getting access to them is pretty much nil. Personally, I don’t care all that much myself. It was mostly a just a guild so that I could have access to the bank, since mine was getting full. Of course, now the guild bank is kinda filled up, so I’m going to have to buy another tab for that soon.

At any rate, I think I’m done with WoW for the day. Not sure what I may play tonight. I may try a test recording of Final Doom, or just Doom, since they’re the same thing, really. At least according to the recording software. Heh. Or I may just play some other game. I haven’t really decided yet. I sure have enough of them to pick from. I just wish there were some that I weren’t stuck in. Not sure about how to do the first boss in Lichdom: Battlemage, still. Still can’t do the flying in Gat Out Of Hell, need to pick up tailoring in Fantasy Life. I think there’s another game that I’m stuck in, but I can’t think of it off the top of my head right now. Also, Auren has been playing Borderlands 2 without me again both today and yesterday. Most irritating, but I suppose I will survive. I think that out of the past almost five weeks, we’ve played for a total two and a quarter hours. Not exactly a plethora of co-op gaming.

Oh yes, the other game is Orcs Must Die, but I think that’s more a function of me needing to give it a few more tries to come up with a good strategy.

My headset is acting much better today, but now it’s running low on power, since I’ve been using it all day. I think the battery is wearing down, though. If I remember right, it was supposed to have 10 hours of power on one charge, and I’ve only gotten like, well, it’s getting close to 8, and it’s already given me one warning that it has less than an hour left. I suppose that’s still pretty good. Too bad that right now my phone is plugged into the cable. I guess I’ll have to move that out to the other room and plug in the headset. It shouldn’t be a big deal, it’s not like I’m expecting a call or text at this time of night. I think everyone but me is in bed already. Heh.

Well, besides gaming, nothing has really gone on today. The only other thing I did was go to the gas station. Well, I guess I also took trash out while I was doing that, so that’s technically two things? But really, it was a day for doing some heavy duty WoWing. Not sure what tomorrow will bring. I’ll probably do at least a little bit of WoW. Maybe I’ll even go try Ulduar again. Gotta get that Yogg-Saron fight down. Of course, I may just ignore that for another day, and play something different. I suppose we shall see.

Lazy gamer.

Not a whole lot going on today. I went and picked up my medication and some more ranitidine. Besides that, I’ve been home all day. Haven’t done much gaming, really. I played WoW for a while, just kinda dinking around for the most part, though I did get Dragon Soul finished. I had to look up both the Spine Of Deathwing fight and the Madness Of Deathwing fight. I suppose that’s not a bad thing. I got it figured out and kicked his ass for all time! Or at least until next week, when I do it again. Hehe. I also recorded an intro for my WoW Leveling LP, so I suppose I’ll be doing some recording for that soon. Silly me, though, forgot to save my old Netherweave Bags, so she doesn’t have any good bags. I also created a paladin, which I will play at some point, also without good bags. Heh. I couldn’t even find any on the AH. I was a little surprised at that. I was thinking about doing some recording tonight, but my headset is not cooperating. It keeps losing the link with the base. It hadn’t done that for a long time, and now it’s been doing it all evening. If it’s cooperating tomorrow, I’m thinking about recording Naxxramas and Icecrown Citadel. I still need to work on Ulduar before I record that. I need to be able to beat Yogg-Saron after all. I also may record a bit of my leveling LP, I’m not sure yet. At least I have the warlock all decked out in heirlooms. I want to do that for my pally as well. She at least already has shoulders, since I had bought those a long time ago, and I actually found them on the character that had time. I think that’s my only other heirloom item, though. I surely don’t remember getting any more. It already goes up to 90, so I only have to upgrade that once. At some point, I’ll have to upgrade some of the stuff on the warlock, but some of it will just get replaced, I believe. I guess I’d better start making some more cash for upgrades. Not that I don’t have a fair bit of gold already, but it’s not like some people, I’m sure. Plus, I have garrison buildings to upgrade, eventually. I did do some of that today, as well, got my Stable to level 3 finally, and my herb garden to level 2. I could probably go ahead and get it to level 3, but I think I’ll wait on that a little bit. I need so much cash, though I was looking at the AH, and found a few things that I might be able to sell, if I have them drop again. We shall see.

I’m not sure what the night will bring yet. I may go and do a couple dungeons in WoW tonight. I mean, more gold is always good. I may play something else, or I may just watch wrestling. I’m kinda leaning towards instance running, though. Guess I’m in a WoW kinda mood. I also have some other quests that I could work on, too. Plus, I do have to start running the Highmaul raid instances at some point, so I may start that. Or maybe do that tomorrow, or even Sunday. Who knows. So much to do, and so little time. Heh.

More Warcrafting!

Cable and I spent the whole day playing WoW. I did my Firelands dailies and we ran all the Heroic dungeons except for Skyreach, because fuck Skyreach. Got the Cores turned in to Khadgar, and now we have to go to Auchidon again to get something else. Too bad there’s a horrible boss fight in there. Should be able to clear it, though. We will see. There was no other gaming besides that, since we were in WoW all day. I may do some gaming tonight, but I need a few minutes break first. We had a horrible healer in Grimrail Depot for a while, they ended up getting kicked, but while we were there, I had to do a bunch of healing myself, just because that was the only way we could progress. We got through it, but it was a lot harder than it should have been. But anyways, that’s over now. We shall see what comes next.

So, what will I do tonight? I’m not sure yet. Maybe some Wolfenstein or maybe Cities: Skylines. Or maybe something else altogether. I know that once mid-April hits, I’ll be spending a whole bunch of time playing GTA V. Guess I should get some good gaming in before then. Hehe.

As a side note, I really hope I get the truck back tomorrow.

Finally!

Those of you that follow me on Twitter, or look at my Twitter feed here already know this, but finally the Alliance had control of Wintergrasp! I finally got into Vault Of Archavon! I made sure to record it while I was there, just in case I didn’t get a chance to get in there again. I don’t know if I’ll bother trying to go back at any point, but I’m glad I got to go the one time. Now I just have to work on the other raid instances, and those are all much easier to get to. Woo!

A little something for the day.

So, I logged in to WoW for a bit. I did my garrison stuff, and headed off to Northrend. I went to check Wintergrasp, and a short time, it told me the Alliance had control, but as I was flying towards the fortress, it switched and said the Horde had control. I don’t know why it did that. I guess I should have headed that way yesterday, when the buff was active. Maybe it would have flipped and said the Alliance had control. I have no idea. Anyways, I was only there to see if I could get into Vault of Archavon. I guess I’ll have to keep checking. Anyways, since I couldn’t do that, I went and did the two small Dragonshrine raids. I did Obsidian first, and I was well surprised, and well pleased, when I found out that a mount dropped for me! It was Reigns of The Black Drake. Apparently, according to WoWWiki, that happens whenever you do 10-man with all three drakes up still, but I sure don’t remember it dropping the first time that I did it. Maybe I just didn’t notice before? Anyways, it requires Artisan Riding, which I don’t have yet, so I guess I’m going to have to go and purchase that. It’s only 5000 gold, and I have more than enough to buy that and keep above my arbitrary limit of 22,000 gold. I’m actually getting close to 31,000 gold. I will tell you this, running raid instances is really good for the gold supply. Being able to get and sell all the drops will net you a nice amount of money, no matter which instance it is. Well, the small ones like the Dragonshrines don’t really have a whole lot that drops, but still, it’s nice to get more gold. Even though I’ve recorded all the Vanilla and Burning Crusade raid instances, I still plan to run at least some of them on a regular basis for that sweet, sweet gold. I’ll probably need it at some point for something or other, and I get a kick out of being able to solo old content. Now if only I could solo all of it, I would be in heaven. Hehe.

Anyways, it’s time to take my meds and wind down for the night, so I will end it here. Heh.

More recording!

I rerecorded Serpentshrine Cavern and the Black Temple and did a recording of Karazhan. I accidentally skipped a boss that I knew was there, but didn’t know where the hidden door was. I found it as I wandered back out. I should have let the recording go just a little bit longer, because I found it pretty easy, and he dropped a pet for me. I think that’s like 7 pets that I got from these recording sessions. I like that. Oh well. Maybe at some point I will replace the Kara video with a new one, since I missed that and another boss that I don’t have the item to summon him with. Maybe. Or maybe not. Who knows. I suppose that depends on whether I get around to do that questline.

Anyways, now to post the videos!

That made me feel a little bit better.

So, I logged into WoW for a bit tonight. I did my garrison stuff, then went over to Northrend. I turned in the quest item drop from Naxxramas, and went down and did both the Obsidian and Ruby Sanctums. Looking on WoWWiki, Ruby Sanctum is the next to hardest raid instance, only Icecrown Citadel is harder. Well, I’m not really sure about that. Maybe? Anyways, I figured if I had done that, then I should go try the Citadel. This was all 10 man, because for some reason it defaulted to that today instead of 25, not sure why. So, after a couple hours, I was at the Frozen Throne. Soon enough, the Lich King was engaged. As you can well imagine, I came out of that fight on top. So, yes, a level 100 shaman can solo all of Northrend, at least in 10 man. I do plan on trying 25 man, but I don’t see it really being much worse, more health, hit harder, that type of thing. I can see myself doing 25 man Icecrown Citadel and coming out on top, though I would imagine that it would take quite a bit longer than 10 man. Interestingly, being in the Northrend instances, and facing off against the Lich King kinda makes me want to play Warcraft 3. Heh. Like I really need another game to play. But who knows, I may uninstall some things to make some room and install that. I’ve been thinking about paring down on the number of games that I have installed anyways, and this might be a good reason to do it. Of course, I have games that I haven’t played yet that need some love, so I may hold off on Warcraft 3 for a while.

Anyways, as the title says, it turns out that taking down the Lich King was a nice little pick-me-up. I wonder if that works for all sorts of things, or if it will work more than once. I suppose it’s probably more of a first time thing, since nowadays Ragnaros is no big deal, but when I first defeated him, back in the vanilla raiding days, it was a great high. I suppose it might work a second time if I’m in there in 25 man mode. I suppose we shall see. Anyways, next up is making Buring Crusade raid videos. I just hope that Karazhan goes well when I do that. That’s the one I’m most worried about, what with the stupid chess event. I think I can do it again. I mean, I did it once. We shall see. The others I’m not really worried about, they’re straightforward enough. I hope I don’t run out of room on my webhost. That would kinda suck.

Doing some raiding.

So, I spent a good part of today playing WoW. I decided to finish off the BC raids, to see if I could do them, those were Battle For Mount Hyjal and Sunwell Plateau. Once I did that, I did Molten Core, Blackwing Lair, Ruins of Ahn’Qiraj, Temple of Ahn’Qiraj and Magtheridon’s Lair. Once I was done with all those, I decided to take it a step further and headed to Northrend to see if I could do Naxxramas(25 man). Turns out I could, rather easily, even. So right now, all the Vanilla and BC raid timers are up, along with Naxxramas. Kinda makes me wonder how far I can go in Northrend. I suppose I will find out sooner or later. Once the raid timers are done after maintenance Tuesday, I’ll probably start recording the BC raids. It’s not like there’s anything to explore in the 6.1 patch. Just some okay stuff happening in the patch. Nothing I’m really excited about. I will probably use the Twitter feature, though. Just for the hell of it. I look forward to making some videos for the site next week. Heh.

A little WoW tonight.

Not a whole lot, but a fair bit, I guess. I practiced Karazhan and I actually completed the chess event. I was kinda excited about that. Now if I can do it when the cameras are rolling, all will be good. Then I tried out Gruul’s Lair, and Serpentshrine Cavern. That was it, but I learned a lot, like the Ladj Vashj fight is kinda a pain with only one person. Not that I was in danger, but it’s not the fastest thing in the world. Especially when a strider is up, that thing will Fear the hell out of you. Anyways, there are only two Burning Crusade raids that I haven’t tried out yet. I suppose I should start recording some of these pretty soon. Or soon, or later. Who knows. I want to, I just need to do it. Should be easy enough for most of them. Having to do the chess event more than once might be a problem, so hopefully I can get it on the first try, like I did today. We shall see. I also have one more regular dungeon to do to be done with those. I also only have one heroic in BC, same instance. Apparently I completed most of the instances in heroic mode. I don’t know how I managed to miss one, but I did. I’m sure I’ll get that fixed at some point, I just need to figure out how to do the heroic version. It can’t be too hard. I’ll get it sorted.

That’s all the gaming that I have done in the last two days. I want to try and do a bit more tomorrow, but we shall see how that goes.

Nagrandstanding

Okay, maybe that title is pushing it a little bit, but it’s a rather apt one for today. I spent more time today playing World Of Warcraft. Not as much as yesterday, but a fair bit. I finally finished off Nagrand in Draenor today. I think all that’s left is going back and doing some Gorgrond stuff, and the Tanaan Jungle, whenever that pops up. I mean, I’m assuming that there will be quests and stuff there. I also finished catching all the animals for the stables in my garrison today. Turns out that there are six mounts that you can train total. I like that. I am a big fan of having more mounts, so I won’t complain. I think there’s quite a few training quests, though, so it may be a while before my mounts are all done with. I’m looking forward to it. I have more mounts than I have pets, which is a little bit surprising, but then, I’ve been collecting mounts for a long time. I’m not sure if I’m going to do any more WoW tonight. I may save it for tomorrow. Also, the Love Is In The Air festival is going on right now, and there’s a pet that you can get from doing stuff for that, so I may work on that some tomorrow. Someday I will do everything, I’m sure of it. Well, maybe. There are probably going to be raids that I never get to see unless I look them up on YouTube, but who knows.

I would also like to say that we are now officially in the worst part of the year. The beginning of the NFL off-season sucks so hard, because there’s hardly anything going on. The news will pick up a bit once we get around to things like Free Agency, the draft and OTA’s. Yes, I love to follow the NFL even in the offseason. I have to admit that I hit up NFL.com at least a couple times a day to see if there’s anything interesting on there. Football = Yay!

Not much else going on today. I know it seems like I say that a lot, but I tend to keep it simple. Cable replaced my broken tail light assembly on the truck today. I got a new one for Christmas, but hadn’t gotten around to installing it yet. I should say that I was more kinda just letting it sit there until Cable could do it. It was nice enough out today, so he went out and got that taken care of. I wish I knew who broke it, but oh well. At least it’s taken care of now, and that’s the important part. Of course, now I have to get the truck taken in for a couple other things. I suppose I should get an appointment set up for that before long. I hate to spend the money, but I’d rather do that than have to replace the whole thing. Heh.

Time to watch some wrestling and take it easy for the evening, I think.
