So, I got my mod situation sorted out again. I added another new companion. This one is by the guy that made the Willow companion for Fallout: New Vegas. She was the one companion that I used at all during the Overpowered run. I figured it was an easy choice.

Also, another player house/settlement. A couple of UI tweaks. And a mod to add some stuff to Diamond City. Also, I put WOTC back into the rotation. I just really love that mod, what can I say. I also found out that the crashes are probably more likely coming from my borked up save file than from any of the mods. Of course, if I start a new game, it could still crash. And really, it could be from anything.

So, right now, I’m still working on my regular game, but I’m starting to wonder if I should maybe think about starting a new game. It’s kinda tempting, but then, there’s sooo much that I can still do in my main game, even if things are a bit screwy.

So, I don’t know what I’m going to do. I suppose I could switch back and forth between the two, if I start a new game. Or I could just go all in from the beginning.

Now, I suppose that all depends on what the next game is going to be. Right now, Final Doom is in the lead. I didn’t really delineate between the two halves of Final Doom, though. I mean, there’s Evilution and there’s The Plutonium Experiment. Both are full 32 level games.

I suppose we will cross that bridge when we get to it. Not sure when that’s going to start. Probably not too long from now. Want to get my microphone situation figured out. I suppose I should probably do that before long. Maybe I’ll do that tonight, if I don’t distract myself with Fallout, of course. It could happen. It has before.

I didn’t mean this to be the nightly post, so I will probably be back later. This was kinda just an update on where we’re at right now. I imagine that I will have another update. I suppose that mostly depends on what goes on in the next few hours.

I think I’m going to save my Sanctuary and Red Rocket blueprints. I don’t know that I will really use them, at least Sanctuary. Red Rocket is good enough, I suppose. I mean, I like my Sanctuary, but I have a couple other ones that I want to check out.

Well, I think that’s all I have for now. That should be everything.

I finally got all of the Steam achievements for New Vegas. Of course, for some reason, I’m still playing it. I don’t know how long this playthrough will last. I may stop and play other stuff again, like I did a bit ago. I mean, I have plenty of things to choose from, at least. This current character, is a Pyro, even though I don’t have the perk for that yet. She’s setting fire to everything in her path, pretty much. It’s ever so much fun, at least for now. It may get boring, who knows. Heh. And I’ve only set myself on fire a couple of times, so that’s not too bad. I’m not terribly far into the game, though. The next stop is Nipton. I don’t remember if I mentioned this already, but I removed Requiem from the mod list, because it’s buggy, and it’s no longer going to be worked on. Apparently Bethesda didn’t like the idea too much. Whatever. I’m not going to cry over it. It was a good idea, and worked fairly well, but I guess it is not to be.

Almost Done With New Vegas

At least the achievements for it. Heh. I still need the one for PickPocketing, and the two for Caravan. It’s too bad I’m really not good at Caravan. Blah. It will take quite a bit of time to get to 30 wins. But I did manage to do a runthrough and picked up the Legion ending. Yay! Oh yeah, I also need the one for healing 10,000 damage with food. Blah.

Update From Requiem

Turns out it wasn’t quite as bad as I hoped. At least not with the NPC’s not moving. I was able to get that quest, and another quest, done using console commands to push the quest forward. Worked out quite well. Until I hit Vault 87, that is. I found a new bug that crashes the game when entering the Living Quarters in the Vault. That’s a pretty big showstopper right there. So, I went off and did some other things. I finished up the main FNV storyline. This time with Yes Man. I only have one ending left! After that, I did some random questing and wandering around. I even started on the Honest Hearts DLC, which is where I am now. Although, right now I’m taking a bit of a break from Fallout. I was getting a little burned out on it, I guess. Or maybe I’m trying to keep from getting burned out, not sure which at the moment. No new screenies right now, because I’m bad at remembering to take them when I’m actually doing stuff. Maybe I’ll remember later.

Requiem

As I have been going along in the Requiem/Fallout 3 stuff, I have been writing down the errors and such that I come across. None of them have really been showstoppers up until now. For some reason, during the Waters of Life quest, the NPC’s are all stuck outside the Jefferson Memorial. Why, I do not know. I’ve not seen that reported on the mod support forum at all, so I guess I’ll be doing that soon. I also found there’s a lot of stuff missing from the NCRCF in the Mojave. I don’t know why, and can’t even really tell you what. I suppose I’ll have to fire up the GECK and see what’s what. Not the most horrible thing in the world, but something that needs paid attention to, nonetheless. Heh.

Fallout

You know, last night I had a big plan for this update I was going to do on Fallout, but some of that has been rendered moot since then. I was originally going to talk about how I had just completed my second run of FNV, and that I wasn’t sure what to do from there. Well, as it turns out, I was able to do both things that I wanted to. This is because I finally got Requiem For The Capital Wasteland installed and working. What that does, is allows you to move from the Mojave to the Capital Wasteland, which is Fallout 3. Yes, that means that I can now play both games from just one executable, and also allows me to use the same character for both!

You see, I was originally unsure whether I wanted to start the solo character that I had been wanting to do, or if I wanted to do a run of Fallout 3. Turns out that I can and am combining the two now. Heh. There are bugs in the mod, of course, but none of them are really showstoppers. At least, not the ones that I’ve come across. I’ve even been able to sort a few of them out, which I thought was pretty groovy. It will be interesting to see how it goes as I get farther into FO3, and moreso when I do the DLC. I’ve never done the DLC for Fallout 3 before, so it will be a fun time.

On top of that, I keep getting ideas for mod stuffs. Mostly for my own benefit, which is what the mod I’ve been working on is for now. It’s definitely not something I would ever release to the public. I’m also thinking of stuff that I would like to add for FO3, in addition to what I’m working on for FNV. It could be fun, though the GECK tends to struggle already. I’m not sure what will happen if I try to bring up both FNV and FO3 in it. I guess we will find out sooner or later. Heh. I’m also thinking about recording my next trip through the game(s). If I do, I’ll post the videos up here, but that’s it. I really doubt I’ll want to put it up on YouTube or some such. But that’s for later, really, since I don’t want to start doing that in the middle of the game. I may post up some stuff about the characters that I’ve done/am doing. I haven’t decided on that yet.
