Well, the first part of the week, from Sunday through Wednesday was good enough. Not a whole lot went on, in the good sense or the bad sense, really. It just kinda was, and that wasn’t a bad thing. Things were moving on as they always do. I even found out that MS made a change to Window 10 and now Diablo works on my computer. I was rather happy about that. That was a good time. Things started to fall apart Thursday. This one is the weakest one, but it started the slide. Bethesda posted up the system requirements for Doom. It turns out that my video card isn’t good enough to run it. Not at all. So, I guess there will be no playthrough of Doom for me, not for at least a couple of months or so, so I can save up some space on my credit card, so I can buy a video card that’s good enough. I don’t know how long that might be, though. That also delays a couple other things that I wanted.
Then Friday…ohh Friday. My best friend has been going back and forth to the doctor for a few days because he believed that he got a hernia at work a week or so ago. Anyways, he had a CT scan, and got the results back Friday morning. On the bright side, he doesn’t have a hernia. Unfortunately, what he does have is a tumor the size of a quarter on his liver. He’s had an MRI and won’t get the results back for a bit still, but this is not a good situation. I was taken aback, and didn’t sleep all that well last night. Not that I sleep great most nights, but it was worse than normal.
Then Saturday morning…this morning…well, this started Friday night. While I won’t get into specifics, Cable made a rather large boo-boo last night. How he’s going to make up for it, I’m not sure, and I don’t think he is either. It wasn’t good, and it was the perfect capper to the week.
So, as you can see, it’s been a trying couple days.
