Well, hell.

I didn’t hear from Cable again today. Since it’s been a couple days, that probably means that they’re on lockdown. Or they put him in the suicide room for some reason. I guess I will find out eventually. I guess that means I shouldn’t get too excited about hearing from him tomorrow, and should just go ahead and play some games. For some reason, Auren decided to switch games again, back to Dark Souls. Until today, it had been a long time since I last played that. When we first fired it up, our characters were missing. I was able to get mine back by moving a file, but for some reason, doing the exact same thing, he wasn’t able to. So, he wanted to start new characters. Let’s ignore the fact that I have three characters that have around 30+ hours each on them, I get to start over. It didn’t go too bad at the beginning. Item collection went pretty well, and Undead Burg went okay. I summoned him to finish it off, and we did in fine style. After that, he was trying to get summoned again, to lower his Faith requirement for his preferred covenant. I worked on getting the Drake Sword, which I can’t use yet. Then I started on the Undead Parish. This is where I ran into problems. If you’ve played a bit of Dark Souls, you know that there’s a Baldur knight on the stairs in Undead Parish up towards the boss. This thing is the bane of my existance right now. A few times I went through there, I had to use a few Estus flasks to get past him, and usually another two to clear out all the crappy hollows in the next room. I tried the boss a couple times, with Solaire, but it didn’t go well, since I had no Estus. Finally, I wised up and went back to Firelink, so that I could have 10 Estus flasks. Turns out that this did not help me at all, because that fucking Baldur killed me. I lost almost 8000 souls, which doesn’t seem like much, but it’s a good chunk when it’s still pretty early on. That pissed me off something horrible, and I had to quit. All the other Baldur knights that I’ve faced so far haven’t been a problem, but this one…I think he has more health than the others, and since I’m waiting to use the Drake Sword, or a Baldur Side Sword, if I can get one to drop, I haven’t upgraded my starting Scimitar at all, so I’m not doing much damage to the enemies. But anyways, I quit for the night. I used to be much better at this game, I don’t know what happened. So, I suppose that I will probably try again tomorrow, though maybe not until I can summon Auren tomorrow evening. We shall see.

Not to mention that we’re getting closer to court day, and I always hate that. On top of that, I’m going to have to go to the grocery, too. I don’t really want to do that, either, but I suppose I don’t really have a whole lot of choice in the matter. Gotta have food for both me and Danzig. Ah well, at least I don’t have to do it often, I guess. I also need to call Frontier and see if I can get them to take me down to just internet for my install Friday. I hope I can do that. It would be much cheaper, and I don’t really need the phone line now, so…something else I have to deal with, I guess. I suppose we shall see about that tomorrow. As for the rest of the night, I’m thinking a bit of wrestling, and not a whole lot else, but we will see.
